THEIR disastrous handling of the Foot and Mouth outbreak, and the Hunting Act of February 2005 lost the Labour Party many thousands of voters, but that was 10 years ago.
Mr Blair has long gone, one of his anti-hunting friends, MP Elliot Morley, has done six months inside for fraud, so of course he has gone to ground. So I am wondering does the Labour Party still carry the anti-countryside agenda of the Blair government?
I have noted that a former Labour minister is now chairman of the countryside alliance.
If the Labour party want to win the general election next year, they will need all the friends they can get.
Today’s letters
The Hunting Act has done nothing to stop people riding the hounds so far, but has left thousands of people whose jobs – and in many cases their homes – depend on hunting with an uncertain future.
