Current roadworks are adding to Oxford traffic problems which are basically caused by the fact that Oxford has outgrown itself.
Every year more buildings are constructed, thus increasing traffic volumes, with an increasing percentage of fuel being wasted and causing unnecessary pollution.
Also it is amazing how the sewerage system is managing to cope, but further increases could result in major work being required which would also add to traffic problems. Perhaps somebody will answer this letter with solutions.
