I have watched many of the Stagecoach performances in the past and they have always been very polished, professional and an absolute pleasure to be part of. On Friday, August 1, I had the privilege to watch the Stagecoach Oxford Advanced Workshop of Fame and I wasn’t disappointed.

The show was very different to some of the others with some very challenging situations and deep characters, but they more than met these challenges and executed it with energy, excitement and excellence. The main characters all played their roles with sensitivity and humour.

I have to mention Harry Pudwell who played Joe. Definitely a great talent and a star of the future, he captivated the audience with his humour and wit. Then there was Sarah Mercieca from the Maltese Stagecoach who played Carmen. She portrayed this character with warmth, and passion with a stunning singing voice and vibrant vitality.

The other characters all gave very convincing, professional and polished performances. It was an enjoyable night. There were some very complex and complicated choreography which was brilliantly executed by the dancers, and big chorus numbers which resounded round the theatre.
