Les Marshall (July 19) is to be congratulated for raising the issue of whether our antiquated sewage system will be able to cope with the massive housing growth in the area.
What a pity that the initial response from both the council and Thames Water was to try and pass the buck from one to the other while both avoiding any suggestion of actually doing anything. Might I suggest that both bodies stop bickering and engage in constructive discussions leading to firm proposals about who is going to do what and when. The people of West Oxfordshire deserve much better than this.
