I write in response to the article about Heathfield House nursing home ‘Care home told to be safer over medicines policy’, August 8.

My mother has been a resident of Heathfield House for nine years, and has always received the best care in a homely, compassionate and caring environment.

The staff at Heathfield House are very professional and welcoming, and the home and its gardens are a pleasant environment for the residents and their visitors. I appreciate these stories should be reported, but I hope the article will not deter anyone from considering the home in the future, either for themselves, or for a loved one who can no longer live in their own home.
