This should not happen if you have a guide dog

Oxford Mail: . .

I am writing because I am indignant that, in this day and age, and having owned a guide dog for 15 years I was refused entry into a local restaurant in my home town of Wallingford.

I arrived at 12.30pm with a friend and we were refused entry because of my guide dog.

Surely, in this day and age, this should not be allowed to happen.

It is illegal to refuse entry to a guide dog. Please report the restuarant concerned to the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, and your local Trading Standards (Oxfordshire County Council).

Please also ensure that the restuaurant owner is given the following number, which explains his legal obligation to allow you access: 08000 131717
