Town needs a relief road before houses are built
I AM writing regarding the building of more new houses in Witney.
Yet another developer – Gladman Homes – with ‘£’ signs flashing in their eyes as well as ‘rubbing their hands with glee’ at the prospect of gaining planning permission to build 270 new houses in the Windrush Valley, Burford Road area, despite the uncertainty of this area being suitable for such a development.
Witney desperately needs a relief road and this should be a priority before any more new houses are built.
My family and I moved from Liverpool to Witney 31 years ago and the need for a relief road was being discussed then.
