The Oxford planners, in their wisdom, refused an application by Premier Inns for a hotel at the southern end of Abingdon Road because it only had 45 parking places.
It had already given permission for Tynedale house on the Cowley Road to be converted to a hotel with no parking spaces and we hear that Premier are interested? This makes no sense. The Cowley Road is already very congested and the location in Abingdon Road would seem ideal to anyone other than the planners. I hope that Premier Inns appeal this decision and common sense prevails.
