EVERYONE is entitled to choose their own lifestyle, particularly if it does not place a burden on the taxpayer.
So who is going to criticise Richard Roberts for opting to sleep rough in order to save money to pay off his student loan?
He has a job, pays his taxes and is repaying his debts. Sounds like a solid citizen. Our only concern is his choice of sleeping places.
For example, on a concrete ledge inches above the River Thames is tempting fate. You really wouldn’t want to drop off there.
