SINCE 1953, Palm’s Delicatessen has been one of the cornerstones that gives Oxford’s Covered Market its unique identity.

As news comes that the market will now open permanently on Sundays, it is also revealed that Ailsa Goodall is trying to sell Palm’s.

We wish her well in her new career and hope the new owner — the deli’s fifth — holds true to its reputation and values, otherwise the market will be the poorer.
