THE photograph of Lee Mackie and Deirdre Gover is yet one more striking image that really brings home the continuing sacrifice of our young men, if one was needed.
Iraq and Afghanistan have focused our attention and tributes for Remembrance Sunday more sharply than for several generations.
Thousands did our servicemen and women – the fallen from previous and current conflicts, those who survived and those still serving – proud today. We are sure you will do so again by observing the two-minute silence at 11am on Wednesday.
