THE disaster at Didcot power station is the latest tragedy in recent years to cast a shadow over the town.
The murder of teenager Jayden Parkinson was followed all too soon by an unthinkable triple murder.
But the people of the town stick together and are good at supporting each other in times of troubles.
Now they are reaching out to show solidarity with those caught up in events at the power station and their kind gestures, thoughts and prayers will no doubt be much appreciated.
