OXFAM is lucky to have eagle-eyed volunteers like Andrew Chapman, who has spotted valuable books for the charity on at least two occasions.

It was fortunate he and a colleague at the shop in St Giles were big fans of the Oxford band Radiohead and realised the significance of the donation they received.

The charity relies on the generosity of supporters like Thom Yorke and the find is a reminder every donation can be turned into cash, to help people in crisis.

When the singer was jotting down his lyrics he never imagined the book could one day make a tidy sum at auction.
