ON the subject of millions, we report today on lots of extra cash for Didcot as it becomes a ‘garden town’.
As always, the devil will be in the detail. A northern perimeter road as well as a new bridge over the railway line from the power station site into Great Western Park are among the infrastructure announced so far as well as 15,000 new homes.
Coping with the extra business and people it brings needs to be a key factor over the coming years if the town, or ‘garden town,’ is to be a success. And it should be seen in the context of the rest of the county.
