IT is always a leap of faith organising an event for the first time.
But Eid Extravaganza organiser Shabnam Sabir should be delighted with how the inaugural festival went at the weekend.
While primarily it marked the end of the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims and non-Muslims alike enjoyed the colourful activities and mouth-watering food on offer.
And Given how people came from outside the county to take part shows the desire to be part of the vibrant event is strong.
With Oxford’s Thai festival in a fortnight too, our diverse city is showing us why we should be so proud of its residents.
