IT’S been a long time since people could enjoy counting down the Top Ten on Sunday nights, so Spotify’s chart of Oxford’s 100 favourite tracks sheds a surprising light on the city’s music tastes.

The streaming service’s ton of tunes is a clear indicator, many would argue, that the old ones are certainly the best ones.

However, casting eyes over Spotify’s top 10 itself, it’s a wonder how many of us in Oxford will actually recognise the titles, or even the bands. Perhaps the high ratio of university students here keeps us looking younger and trendier to the outside world than we actually are?
