WHETHER you’ve stepped in it, smelled it or seen it littering a park near you, there’s no doubt dog waste is a big problem.
As our investigation shows today there are still some people who don’t seem to think it’s their responsibility to clear up after their pets.
Last year alone the council spent almost £28,000 cleaning up dog mess across the city.
It is now considering using CCTV and DNA testing to identify those responsible.
Again though this will cost money that could be saved if people just took responsibility for their pets.
