ANOTHER family could be torn apart as a result of the ongoing housing crisis in Oxford.
It is understandable that Jessica McGovern, her partner and children do not want to leave their family and friends and move to Coventry. But their punishment for wanting to remain in their home city is to be removed from the council’s housing list.
It is the latest sad tale that demonstrates just how desperate the situation is.
The city council needs to throw its resources into solving the housing shortage, not issuing ultimatums to families who want to stay close to their loved ones.
