THIS time of year is always a joyous one at the Oxford Mail as we get to announce the winners of our Gannett Foundation grants.
So many worthy causes apply for the annual grants, which are given by the charitable wing of the paper’s parent company Gannett.
It’s great news for Sobell House Hospice and Mabel Prichard School, who will benefit from almost £10,000 between them.
But the grants also allow us to highlight the great work done by other charities in the county.
While Christmas may be over, let us not end the spirit of giving – there are plenty of groups out there who need donations.
Why not make it a New Year’s resolution?
