UNDER pressure to outdo their peers, men are always trying to come up with original ways, and places, to propose to their partners.
And Guntis Belousovs, who asked his girlfriend Liva to marry him at Oxford’s Mini plant, is no exception.
Desperate to impress his beloved, Guntis took her to the Cowley plant for a romantic weekend, and got down on one knee in an area called the “engine marriage”.
Guntis and Liva met at the launch of the Mini Hatch and have a passion for cars, as well as each other. It was an odd sight for the Mini workers but hopefully they can soon add a successful and happy marriage to their list of achievements.
