MANY readers will share the concerns of Oxfam chief executive Mark Goldring, who said of the Ebola crisis: “Countries that have failed to commit troops, doctors and enough funding are in danger of costing lives.”
Yesterday troops and International Development Secretary Justine Greening left RAF Brize Norton as part of the UK’s £125m effort to tackle the disease.
She said: “I look forward to seeing how British Army medics and engineers, as well as our humanitarian and health workers, are spearheading the UK’s efforts.”
With the death toll over 4,500, other countries should follow our lead.
