THE MG car factory in Abingdon has long since gone, but the marque remains strong, and this year its 90th anniversary is being celebrated.
Founder Cecil Kimber learned his trade under Oxford car manufacturer William Morris and now KImber’s links with Abingdon are being celebrated with a blue plaque at his former home, the Boundary House pub.
The MG Car Club has done well to capitalise on the town’s MG history, and the signs are it is not finished yet.
