CREDIT too, to Thames Water’s sewer work team who look set to complete their fatberg repair in Park End Street a week ahead of schedule.
The traffic problems caused by closing Park End Street have been horrific at times, once again demonstrating how vulnerable the city’s road network is.
There have been thousands of motorists and commuters who have been cursing these works but at the end of the day they had to be done.
Thames Water and Oxfordshire County Council at least gave plenty of advanced notice and cannot be criticised for dragging the work out unnecessarily.
If only some other utility companies could work with such efficiency.
