A VILLAGE fundraiser will be held at the historic Manor Country House Hotel at Weston on the Green next month.

Visitors will have the opportunity to look around the late 15th century manor house and grounds while over 40 artisan food and drink and craft stalls will offer a selection of drinks including gins, whiskeys and street food and BBQs.

The event aims to raise money for the village hall and church.

Marlene Hauser-Oberschneider said: “Throughout the year our hotel provides a fabulous venue for weddings, corporate events and specialist retreats and workshops focussing on wellness for women and young mothers, so to open our doors to a Festival of Food & Drink and Village Fête bringing the whole community together will be great.”

The event will also feature activities for all ages including archery, a penalty shoot-out, table tennis, go-karting, tractor rides and children’s rides and games.

There will be a dog show run by the National Animal Welfare Trust, while a community stand will be promoting the activities and businesses in the village green area of the event.

The fête will be held at the Manor Country House Hotel on Sunday, September 30 from 11 am to 4pm.
