NEW meets old as historic artefacts dating back ten thousand years are added online.
As part of the Ashmolean Museum's Digital Collection Programme, which was established with the aim of creating cross-searchable digital records, more than 250,000 objects will be online by 2020.
The online museum makes it possible to filter through centuries of history in search of specific items- including sculptures, ceramics, paintings and coins.
So far more than 51,000 objects have been added to collections.ashmolean.org
