TWO new outdoor gyms are soon to be unveiled in Bicester.

Cherwell District Council has installed the new gym equipment in two parks in the town and are planning to unveil them at two family fun days.

The first will be revealed on Sunday at Spider Park in Keble Road where fitness fans will be able to try out the new equipment.

There will also be a host of family fun, plus a petting zoo being staged by the Bicester Baptist Church.

The event will run from 1pm to 3.30pm.

A second outdoor gym will be unveiled at this year's Teddy Bear's Picnic in Garth Park on August 1, from 11am to 3pm.

Bicester Town Mayor Sean Gaul will be on hand to reveal the new gym before later judging the best dressed teddy competition.

Both outdoor gyms were secured through the Healthy Bicester scheme who were given £40,000 funding from NHS England.

It hopes to encourage use of the parks.
