'PURPOSEFUL' teaching and polite pupils have impressed an Ofsted inspector.
Launton CE Primary School near Bicester has maintained its rating of 'good', according to the regulator, after a short check-up inspection last month.
A letter sent to headteacher Jane Paterson, who stepped up in September from deputy head, said she was taking 'decisive action' to build on strengths.
The letter, published on Tuesday, added: "The staff team wholeheartedly support these initiatives and cooperate well with you and each other to raise standards.
"Teaching is purposeful in all classes and... increasingly strong.
"The school [has a] strong contribution to pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development."
Ofsted praised children's conduct at the 143-pupil school, adding: "They are polite, courteous and welcoming to visitors
Leaders work increasingly closely with parents so that the community around the school is developing professionally but with real warmth."
