AMATEUR actors converged on an Oxfordshire theatre for the 71st Drama Festival of one-act plays.
Wallingford's Corn Exchange hosted the event last week after a year's break, during which the Victorian building's leaking glass roof was replaced.
Performed by groups from Oxford, Wallingford, Wolvercote and Didcot, the plays ranged from the surreal to the poignant.
At the end of each evening, Jennifer Scott-Reid from the Guild of Drama Adjudicators gave her verdict on each production.
Awards for best plays and performances were presented by Wallingford's mayor, Lee Upcraft.
