A SPEED restriction could be put in place at a self-build development near Bicester.

Oxfordshire County Council is proposing to introduce a 20mph speed limit at the Graven Hill development in Ambrosden with the aim of improving road safety on all roads throughout the housing development.

This will help keep the inner circulatory route free for moving traffic only (except for buses stopping), and to allow some parking near the proposed retail premises.

The plans, currently out for consultation, would see the 20mph zone on all roads south of the A41 Rodney House roundabout junction.

There would also be a prohibition of waiting and loading/unloading at any time on the Circular Road East, Graven Hill Road and Westcott Road (effectively as the inner circulatory route).

The northwest side of Graven Hill Road may also see one hour parking restrictions.
