YOUNG people are being given the opportunity to take up a number of apprenticeships at Oxford City Council.

The local authority is recruiting for its next apprenticeship programme and is accepting applications until Thursday, June 21.

The council’s website said: “We aim to have a workforce that represents our great city and are keen to hear from people living locally who have an appetite to learn, and want to help us deliver excellent services to our community.”

There are entry level roles and higher level trainee roles available.

These include the roles of intelligence support apprentice, incomes apprentice, human resources apprentice, business support apprentice and youth work apprentice.
