THE homecare team of assistants at Bluebird Care are celebrating as the group launches a campaign to say thanks to its professionals.
The #MakeADifference campaign, launched on May 8, hopes to raise awareness of domiciliary care as a profession which enables vulnerable people to receive care and support.
Joanne Smith, Bluebird Care’s longest-standing care professional in South Oxfordshire – of over four years, said: "I know I am making a difference in my local community, and helping individuals remain in their own home.
"Moving can be unsettling, so anything we can do to prevent this should be done.
"I love spending time with my customers, hearing the stories, seeing the photos.
"I just love being a care professional."
Bluebird Care across Oxford, South and West Oxfordshire hopes the latest campaign will not only thank its current team of staff but encourage others to take up the profession.
