PARKING restrictions on a crowded North Oxford road have been sidelined by council officers.
Plans for a possible Controlled Parking Zone in Frenchay Road were first tabled in September 2016 but have now been withdrawn meaning further measures may not be considered until after 2021.
Oxfordshire County Council's cabinet member for transport, Yvonne Constance, apologised to county councillor John Howson and said it was an 'oversight' that he and people weren't updated.
She added that schemes not included in 2020/21 are not ruled out if additional funding could be found to pay for them but that other areas had been prioritised ahead of Frenchay Road.
