AN Oxford Brookes University student has won an award for her socially engaged artwork which highlights her personal experiences of dyslexia.
Alice Floyd, who is studying a Masters degree in Social Sculpture and Connective Practice, won the People’s Choice Award at Shape Open 2018.
Shape Open, hosted by Shape Arts, is an annual exhibition of artwork by disabled and non-disabled artists created in response to a disability-related theme.
The exhibition provides space where the artists can exchange views and ideas about issues and topics which are often side- lined within artistic debate.
