A CYCLING group will hold a rally outside an Oxfordshire County Council meeting next week in support of radical proposals to improve riding in the city.

The protest, organised by Cyclox, will call for policies included in the Claudia Charter for Safer Cycling to be rolled out. Claudia Comberti, a keen cyclist, died after she was hit by a bus while riding on Botley Road in May. The charter calls for greater spending on infrastructure to improve safety.

The rally will be held outside County Hall in New Road on Tuesday from 10am, ahead of the meeting at 10.30am.
