The ATOM Festival continues today with an evening on the final frontier.
Professor Chris Lintott, who presents long-running BBC series Sky at Night, will look at the evidence for life elsewhere in the universe.
Professor Frank Close, meanwhile, will explore the question that continues to fascinate scientists and philosophers - how can you get something out of nothing?
The event will take place at the Amey Theatre from 6.30pm. It is part of Abingdon's eight-day celebration of science, which concludes on Sunday with a family science fair in the Yang Science Centre.
