THE city's annual spring clean will be launched by Oxford United's stars as volunteers are urged to sign up to keep Oxford tidy.
This year's OxClean will take place from March 2-4 but will be launched on Friday with the help of Oxford United's footballers, pupils from The Oxford Academy and the city's Lord Mayor Jean Fooks.
Sponsors Oxford Civic Society will also be in attendance.
The Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, John Harwood, will officially launch the project at The Oxford Academy site in Sandy Lane West at 2.15pm
Last year - the tenth OxClean - more than 1,200 volunteers helped out.
More than 40 groups from communities across the city have already signed up but volunteers are still needed to keep Oxford tidy at the beginning of next month.
