AROUND 1,000 people are expected to mark Chinese New Year at Oxford Town Hall as part of a special celebration this weekend.
As part of the festivities a Chinese lunch will be served, followed by activities including a lion dance, martial arts, acrobatics and a performance of Chinese folk music.
Organised by Oxfordshire Chinese Community & Advice Centre (OCCAC) the event will mark the beginning of the year of the dog.
The celebrations will be held from 12.45pm until 3.45pm on Sunday.
