PUPILS at a school near Abingdon wore pyjamas and sold cakes to help African children living in poverty.
The Manor Preparatory School in Shippon hosted the pyjama day last week to support Kapumpe Primary School in Zambia, as part of wider fundraising to help improve its education provision.
Children in Years 3 and 4 took part in the fundraiser last Friday, selling an array of cakes for 25 pence each and wearing their sleepwear to school.
Their efforts resulted in £500 collected from donations on the day.
