BURGLARS climbed onto a roof before breaking into a home through a window.
Thames Valley Police said the break-in happened at the home in Kirk Close, North Oxford, on Wednesday at 8.30pm.
A spokesman for the force said the burglar climbed up a wooden fence and onto a flat roof, before breaking in through a bedroom window at the back of the house.
The intruder started to search the house and fled when he triggered a burglar alarm.
It is not yet known whether anything was stolen.
