ERRONEOUS and duplicated paperwork related to the rollout of Universal Credit (UC) has had a ‘significant impact’ on the workload of the Oxford City Council benefits team.
Since the roll out began in October 2017 more than half of the 1,719 housing benefit notices sent to the team by the DWP are either errors or duplicates, according to a recent report.
The DWP have acknowledged that there are some issues with this process, and are working to reduce the number of notices issued.
