MARK Norman, recently retired head of conservation at the Ashmolean Museum, is to give a talk about his work.
Mr Norman, will give the free talk, entitled Picking Up the Pieces, at the Taylorian Lecture Theatre in St Giles on Saturday, from 11am to 12 noon.
During the talk Mr Norman will explain how the repair, restoration and conservation of artefacts has changed over the years and the impact of modern conservation work since the first restorers were employed.
