OXFORD University is to open a job centre in Little Clarendon Street.
Officers have submitted plans to create a walk-in temporary staffing service at Unit 5 Dartington House, which it already owns, next door to the Sobell House charity shop.
The service will be similar to the one it has already been running just a few doors down.
Members of public can see the new plans at public.oxford.gov.uk using reference number 17/03389/FUL. Oxford City Council will decide by February 14.
