OXFORD City Council are set to officially remove the Freedom of Oxford from Aung San Suu Kyi.
Last month councillors voted unanimously to rescind the honour from Myanmar’s de facto leader for failing to speak out against ethnic cleansing of the country’s Rohingya Muslim minority.
A special meeting will take place on Monday to agree the formal process, of what will be an unprecedented move the council.
Just 36 people or groups have been awarded the Freedom of Oxford.
