PILOTING parking restrictions in parts of Watlington to stop traffic clogging up streets and restricting access to Wallingford Bridge form part of a strategy to cut pollution in South Oxfordshire.
South Oxfordshire District Council gave the Low Emissions Strategy the go-ahead at a meeting on Thursday.
Cabinet member for environmental health Councillor Tony Harbour said: “We understand people may think some of these proposals seem quite drastic but air quality is a significant cause of health problems and we have a duty to look at ways to tackle it."
