A COMPANY at the helm of three Oxfordshire pubs has been praised for its approach to staff training.
Oakman Inns won a prize at the National Innovation in Training Awards, for ‘best casual dining training programme’.
It runs establishments across the country, including The Blue Boar in Witney, The Crown & Thistle in Abingdon and The Old Post Office in Wallingford.
CEO Peter Borg-Neal said he was ‘delighted’, especially as Brexit brought staffing challenges. He added: “We are all having to work harder to enthuse, recruit and train the people we need.”
