A 30mph speed limit will be extended in Long Hanborough after Oxfordshire County Council gave it the go-ahead.
That limit on Witney Road will be extended by about 75 metres, replacing the current 40mph speed limit there.
The extended limit was proposed to improve the safety of all road users near a new access road being built for a new housing estate.
Cabinet member for environment Yvonne Constance officially approved the change in the limit on Thursday.
