CELEBRATE St Catherine's Day, the patron saint of spinners, lacemakers and spinsters, at the Pitt Rivers Museum.
Visitors will have the chance on Saturday to see lace being made by local lacemakers and have a go at making some themselves.
Oxford University historian and lace expert David Hopkin will be on hand to talk about lacemaking customs and traditions, as well as showing some of the tools of the trade.
The speciality of the day, Cattern cakes, spiced with cinnamon, lightly fruited and flavoured with caraway seeds, will also be on offer to taste.
The free event will take place at the South Parks Road museum from 11am until 3pm.
