BIKES were stolen in a spate of shed thefts across Oxford.

Thames Valley Police said more than six sheds have been broken into in the past few days, mostly at the weekend. The force has not confirmed if the thefts are linked.

Between Saturday and Sunday, at least two sheds were forced open at Cowmead Allotments in Abingdon Road, but nothing was taken. During the same period, a bike was stolen from a shed in Barns Road and two from a shed in Three Fields Road.

Another was stolen from a shed in Banbury Road between Thursday and Sunday, and one from a communal shed in Territorial Way between Friday and Sunday.
