TEENAGERS will take over Oxford’s Story Museum for a mystery-themed event.
The attraction in Pembroke Street will host a Magical Mythical Mystery Teen Takeover on Friday, from 5pm 7pm.
Visitors to the museum will be able to enjoy a drama performance, a clues and mysteries session, a codebreaking and magic tour and the chance to join in with creative crafting.
Malik Salamatian, one of the young people involved in organising the event, said: “This event has been one of the most fun things ever and I can’t wait to see what everyone things. We’re so proud of what we’ve done and are looking forward to you coming along!”
There will be free entry and a chance to explore the museum’s exhibitions.
Plans are now under way for a £6m transformation, which will put museum on the map of top Oxford attractions.
The masterplan envisages the full transformation of all 2,000 sq m across five levels, with many rooms of varying shapes and sizes.
The museum charity acquired a 130-year lease at its Rochester House home in 2009, thanks to the generosity of an anonymous benefactor, and has since been working on the phased redevelopment of three linked buildings.
