GET TO know the history of artist Van Gogh, in the final of three talks that delve into the life of the troubled painter.
Art historian Juliet Heslewood will speak tomorrow from 1pm at the Ashmolean about the influence of southern France on his work.
Provence was a place where Van Gogh developed his style with Japanese prints in mind. Though his mental state declined, in isolation he was able to create extraordinary images of colour.
Tickets are £6 via ashmolean.org
